Marion was the daughter of William A. & Mary J. Brunson.
She married John Joseph Griser on April 11, 1893 and to this union eight known children were born. Her first two were daughers and died as infants. these children were buried in the "Country" Somewhere in the Monks Corner, SC area called Strawberry.
Marion was born with a "veil" over her face, which is believed to give her a sixth sense. She knew when her son Emmett died prior to being notified, the same with a son in-law. She herself had a near death experience & told her youngest daughter, who was with her, that when she went again to let her go, for what she saw was too beautiful for words. She died the following day at the same exact time of her near death experience. Her daughter was by her side.
Cause of death was due to an infected gallbladder.
Marion was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, which was located on Hanover St. at the time. Her husband John was Catholic and Marion made the decision to have her children brought up in the catholic faith.
Her wake was held at her home, 24 Hanover St.
