James Isaac Howe was the son of Joseph Disher and Hannah Malissa (Putman) Howe. He married Ada Henry on June 16, 1892 in Aurelius Center, Ingham Co., MI. His occupation was a Stone Mason. James and Ada had 10 children, Hazel, Myrtle, Harry, Arthur, Fern, Beatrice, Harold, Gladys, Henry and Margaret. James and Ada celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home in Eaton Rapids on June 14, 1942. They resided ag 514 S. River Street in Eaton Rapids for many years, after being born and raised in Aurelius Center. James preceded Ada in death on August 16, 1955 and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery on August 18, 1955.
