Mrs. Grace Chambers Waterloo -- Mrs. Grace Chambers, 76, a former resident of Geneva, died Tuesday night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Deedrick E. Mathews, 15 North Walnut St., Waterloo, after a long illness. The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Mrs. Mathews' home with the Rev. F. L. Harper, D. D., pastor of First Church, Geneva, officiating. Internment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mathews home after 7 p.m. today. Mrs. Chambers made her home in Waterloo for the past 15 years. She was born in Yates County near Dresden, March 15, 1879, the daughter of the late George H. and Annette E. Hayner Roberts. She was the widow of the late William H. Chambers who died here in 1920. Survivors are three sons, Laurance R. Chambers, Yonkers; Guy K. Chambers, Geneva; Robert Chambers, Yorkville; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde H. Trice, Geneva; and Mrs. Mathews; one sister, Mrs. Spencer F. Slingerland, Buffalo; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. (The Geneva Times, October 26, 1955; pg. 5)
