Nettie Wallace Roberts was born Tuesday, April 3, 1894 in Morgan County, Alabama to William Luther Wallace and Francis Ann Long Wallace. ~ She married George Berry Roberts, a son of Berry Palmer Roberts and Ida Howard Roberts on Saturday, May 7, 1910 in Morgan County, Alabama. ~ The children of Nettie and George Roberts are Ethel Irene Roberts, Mabel M. Sparkman, Clara Elvira Smith, Viola Frances Walker, Eva Earlean Marshall, Luther Berry Roberts, Levenia Marie Popiel, Arthur Roberts, Oscar Roberts, Vera Mae Manley and Leldon C. Roberts. ~ Mrs. Nettie Roberts

Funeral for Mrs. Nettie Roberts, 82, Decatur 2, who died Wednesday in a Cullman nursing home, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Wendell Callahan and Edwin Hodges officiating, with burial in Johnsons Chapel Cemetery, Peck directing.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Roy Smith, Mrs. Norman Sparkman, Mrs. Lewis Walker, Decatur, Mrs Rogers Marshall, Portage, Ind., Mrs. Sam Potiel, New York, Mrs. George Wood, Birmingham; a son, Luther Roberts, Hartselle; three sisters, Mrs. Tennis Sparkman, Decatur, Mrs. Lee Standridge, Mrs. William Patterson, Hartselle; two brothers, John Wallace, Hartselle, Ed Wallace, Decatur; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church and was the widow of George Roberts.
