Mrs. Prentis Sparkman

Mrs. Prentis W. Sparkman, 75, of 2508 Stratford Rd., died at 6:45 a.m. today at a local hospital.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 pm. at the Austinville Methodist Church, the Rev. Mitchell Owens officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Guntharp directing.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

The body will remain at the funeral home until time to be taken to the church where it will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Brown of Tuscumbia; a son, Loyd Sparkman of Muscle Shoals; seven sisters, Mrs. Tennis Sparkman of Decatur, Mrs. W. E. Vest, Mrs. Nettie Roberts, Mrs. William Patterson, Mrs. Decie Standridge and Mrs. Ninnie Thrasher, all of Hartselle and Mrs. Minnie Hariman of Anniston; six brothers, John L. Wallace, Markus Wallace and William Wallace all of Hartselle, H. B. Wallace of Gadsden, S. A. Wallace and E. G. Wallace, both of Decatur; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
