---Mrs. Mae Cunningham of La Plata, died Sunday evening at 8:40 at home after an illness of about six months. She was sixty-two years of age.
---Born in Macon County April 26, 1892, Mrs. Cunningham was the daughter of Katie and Sylvester Bruce. She attended country school and on February 23, 1910, married Zellar David Cunningham at Kirksville. Eleven children were born, eight of whom survive: Anna Mildred Jenkins of Atlanta, Ira Robert of the home, Opal Marie Tangy of Quincy, Ida Mae Rolison of Ottumwa, Iowa, Thomas Sylvester of Quincy and Otha Odell of La Plata.
---Other survivors include four sisters, Eva Farmer of St. Louis, Anne Gross of La Plata and Emery Bruce, Freman.
---She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters and one son.
---In her early youth Mrs. Cunningham was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
---Funeral services were Tuesday, October 5, at the Christie Chapel with Rev. Claude Thompson officiating. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery with Christie Funeral Home in charge.
---Attending from a distance were ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
