John H. Oltman, 90, a native of Bartholomew County, died Tuesday at Major Hospital at Shelbyville. Mr. Oltman had made his home in Jackson Township of Shelby County until nine months ago when he moved to 15 Third Street. A retired farmer, Mr. Oltman had lived in the Hope area at one time.
Mr. Oltman was born on December 7, 1879, the son of Derek and Susan Reed Oltman. He is survived by three nephews and two nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday at the Murphy Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Cavaness. Persons may call after 7 o'clock tonight. Burial will be at the Conover Cemetery in Shelby County.
