Mrs. Susan Oltman, wife of Dirk Oltman, died at four o'clock yesterday afternoon at their home in Jackson Township, four miles northeast of Edinburg.

Dropsy was the direct cause of death. She was seventy-six years, nine months, and twenty-five days of age at the time of her death. She had been confined to her bed since Christmas Day, 1915.

She was born in Hawcreek Township, Bartholomew County, June 4, 1839, and was the daughter of Eli and Catherine Reed. She married Mr. Oltman April 21, 1871 and six children were born of this union. Four sons survive the mother--George of this city; William A. Oltman of Johnson County; Harvey Oltman of Jackson County; and John H. Oltman at home. She was a member of the Blue River Separate Baptist Church of Jackson Township.

The funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Friday morning at he Blue River Baptist Church, the Rev. Randolph of Indianapolis, officiating. The cortège will leave the late home at ten o'clock. Burial will be made in the Conover Cemetery.
