DEATH CLAIMS MRS. WATKINS
Frances Moore Watkins, 94, died Aug. 2 at the Nim Henson Nursing Center in Jackson following a long illness. She was a native of Wolfe County and was the widow of the late Weed Watkins. She was a member of the Church of God.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Banks of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Laura Moore of Horton, Ind., two sons, Alford Watkins of Middletown, Ohio and Leonard Watkins of Cincinnati; two brothers, Ben Moore of Bethany and Jessie Moore of Mary; a sister, Mrs. Beckie Patton of Bethany; 18 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Omar Spencer. Burial was in the Watkins Cemetery at Cave Branch under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home.
