She and Frank met at a dance in Seneca. They moved to Pocahontas Iowa in 1922 to purchase a studio and raise their family of 8 children. Anne was the portrait colorist and sales person at Strathman's Studio for 35 years. A "working women". She was an original member of Pocahontas Hospital Axillary that helped raise funds to build the town's first facility. She was a member of the Sacred Hearts Alter Society. She was an avid/serious bridge player. Anne was a Catholic Daughter of America for years. She was a wonderful baker/cook.
She underwent surgery in Iowa City in 1967 for cancer. Upon her death, her husband wrote "she was a true, honest, loving, cheerful wife and mother and oh how she is missed by all"
