Word was received here Saturday of the death of Mrs. Edward Peregrine of Alpha, at Craigmont Hospital, North Madison. Mrs. Peregrine had relatives and friends at this place.

Those from a distance who attended Mrs. Ed Peregrine's funeral were Homer Redman and wife, of Seymore; Mrs. Hilda Thompson, of North Vernon; Bert Whitsitt and family of Scottsburg; Mr. Still and wife, of Austin; Charles Gray and family, of Deputy. The burial was at Wesley Chapel. Rev. Glick of Kent, conducted the funeral.
Mrs. Edgar Whitsitt, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Mrs. Irene Chaney, of Cincinnati, were called here on account of the death of there mother, Mrs. Ed Peregrine, who died Nov. 21, age 54 years., She was a member of the Alpha Baptist church. She leaves a husband, one son, Paul, and three daughters, Mrs. Grant Phillips, Mrs. Edgar Whitsitt and Mrs. Irene Chaney.
