A native of Deputy, he was the son of the late Charles T. and Rachael Everhart Redman. He was a former Greyhound bus station operator in Scottsburg and had lived in Phoenix for the past eighteen years.
His survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anna Gardner Redman; a son, Bernard Redman of Rt. 6, Scottsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Ecke of North Hollywood, California, and Mrs. Margaret Kinney of Crothersville; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by the death of a son, Merle Redman, who died in 1975.
Funeral services were conducted at the Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg on Saturday morning, with Reverend Joe Hodge officiating.
Burial was in the Scottsburg Cemetery."
