WICKS - Joseph Leroy, 79, Euclid, Ohio, formerly of South Fork, died May 10, 2000 in Cleveland. Born March 21, 1921, in South Fork, son of Joseph L. and Elizabeth (McDonald) Wicks. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Beverly Grace (Brunner) Wicks, who died Feb. 7, 2000, and brothers, Robert Earl and James. Survived by these children: Joseph Leroy Jr., Estes Park, Colo.; Gail, wife of Wes Shilitto, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Joy Michelis, Mentor, Ohio; also grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Mindi, Marcy and Matthew; and great-granddaughter, Amanda. Brother of Betty Jane, wife of Dr. Emmett Reilly, Los Angeles, Calif. and Harold, married to former Dorren Parkensen, Litchfield, Conn. Navy veteran of World War II, having received the Purple Heart. Leroy retired as a salesman for the leather industry. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Ed Jenkins. Interment, South Fork Cemetery. Military graveside service by Menoher Post 155, VFW.
