Son of Joseph Henry Wicks and Jane Jennie Wisel. Husband of Elizabeth L. McDonald. Father of Joseph Jr., Betty Jane, Harold, Robert Earl, Agnes M. and James.

Obituary:
WICKS - Joseph Leroy, 75, 529 Main St., South Fork, died Oct. 1, 1969, at Memorial Hospital. Born March 11, 1894, in South Fork, son of Joseph H. and Jennie (Wysel) Wicks. Survived by widow, former Elizabeth McDonald, and these children: Leroy, Cleveland; Betty, wife of Dr. Emmett Reilly, Los Angeles, Calif.; Harold, Litchfield, Conn.; Robert E., Johnstown R.D. 2; and James, Phoenix, Ariz.; also 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Laura M. Dimond and Mrs. Clark Lydic, both of South Fork. Member of Brotherhood of Engineers and Fireman. Served with U.S. Army during World War I. Celebrated 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 20. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. June Lingler. Interment South Fork Cemetery. South Fork Post 653, American Legion, will hold service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
