After graduating high school Ralf began a career with GM as a Quality Control Inspector, retiring in 1981 after 40 years. With his automotive training Ralf was able to restore an old MG-TD, which he took pride in driving. Ralf loved the outdoors and nurtured the environment around him by planting a small garden every year. He enjoyed sitting back to whittle a piece of soap, chalk or wood, and was a kind and gentle soul who never uttered an unkind word to anyone. He taught his children to turn the other cheek whenever possible, which he practiced in his own life.
Ralf leaves behind a loving wife, Ella Dingus of Orland; one daughter; Lucretia Beaton of Hutchinson, Kan.; four sons; Donald Dingus of Lordstown, Ohio, Ronald Dingus of Magalia, Ralf Dingus, Jr. of Orland, and John Fortuna of San Jose, Calif.; not to forget his 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
