KELLY OLIVER DINGUS, 83, of Martin died Thursday at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home, following a prolonged illness. He was born January 9. 1904 in Martin, a son of the late Elman and Emma Clark Dingus. A retired compressor station engineer for the Columbia Gas Company, he was a member of the First Assembly Church of God for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Flanery Dingus; three sons, James O. Dingus, Colin Kelly Dingus, and Ralph W. Dingus, all of Martin; seven daughters, Alka Smith of Saugus, Calif, Naomi Combs of Orkney, Iona Hinkle of Wadsworth,O., Lois Baldridge, Yvonne Mosley, Ruth Shelton and Tiffany Dingus, all of Martin; two brothers, Carl Dingus of Lexington and Ralf Dingus of Red Bluff Calif. one sister Alka Allen of Prestonsburg, 28 grandchildren and 11 great--grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 11 am at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Lorie Vannucci officiating. Burial was made in the Dingus Cemetery at Martin.
