Nell Gladys Brooks, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Decatur Brooks; daughter Nancy Ruth Brooks; sons, Connie Lee Brooks, Clyde David "Buck" Brooks; daughter-in-law, Alice Brooks; granddaughter, Brittany Allen Webb; several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Joe (Judy) Brooks, Del Rio, Lonnie D. (Mary) Brooks, Del Rio, Danny (Dottie) Brooks, Sevierville; daughters, Betty (Earl) Mathis, Newport, Reva Dean (Jerry) Click, Morristown, Charlotte (Johnny) Styles, Del Rio and Diane Stalvey, Del Rio; daughters-in-law, Sharon Brooks, Sevierville, Savannah Lane Brooks, Newport; sisters, Jennie Mae Metcalf, Manassas, VA, Anna Laura (Wade) Jenkins, Del Rio, and Hattie Bailey , Newport; several; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. James Suggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
