June 2, 1971 - Humboldt Republican - Services for Reuben Wiuff, 60, will be Thursday, June 3, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with burial in Union Cemetery. Masonic services were held at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lindhart Funeral Home.

Mr. Wiuff was pronounced dead on arrival at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital May 31. He was taken there having been stricken with an apparent heart attack while on East River with a brother, Richard.

Surviving are the widow, Precious; a son, Carvel; and a daughter, Mrs. Mervin Johnson, both of Humboldt; five grandchildren; a brother, Richard, Rutland; three sisters: Mrs. Frank Lindhart, Zumbrota, Minn.; Mrs. Harry Andersen, Fergus Fall, Minn., and Mrs. Tom Locke, Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Born in Rutland Township, Mr. Wiuff was reared and educated there and was graduated from Humboldt High School. He married Precious Olson in 1934 and worked in the offices of the Humboldt Cooperative Creamery. He began farming in 1937 and had been employed in the office of the Chantland Manufacturing Company at the time of his death.

Mr. Wiuff was a past master of the Humboldt Masonic Lodge; past patron of the Humboldt Order of Eastern Star; Masonic District lecturer; past president of the Humboldt County Fair Board; past president of the Humboldt Community School Board, and had served on the Humboldt Cooperative Creamery board.
