OBITUARY: The Chattanoogan, Chattanooga TN, 25 Mar 2008
Marian Annette Rowell Carr, 71, of Rossville, died on Monday, March 24, 2008 at her home. She was born in Chattanooga to the late James Robert and Lucy Pauline (Kelsay) Rowell, and was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Wayne Carr. Marian was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Johnny Carr of Rossville; children, David Carr of Soddy-Daisy, John Allen Carr of Amarillo, Tx., Paula Degitz of Rossville, Dawn Carden of Cleveland, Debbie Herrera of Chattanooga; siblings, James “Dewey” Rowell, William “Bud” Rowell, Jeselyn McClure, Bobbie Jean King, Marlene “Marty” Pagleno, all of the Chattanooga area; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, in the chapel with Rev. Jack Songer officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South. Her family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and prior to the service Thursday. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
