Allen A. Klingensmith, 89, of 999 Heidrick St., Clarion, formerly of Sligo, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, October 8, 2000, in Beverly Healthcare, Clarion.
Born October 19, 1910, in Monroe Twp., Clarion County, he was a son of Addison W. and Effie Davis Klingensmith.
Mr. Klingensmith was employed as an equipment operator for various coal companies and later worked as a self-employed carpenter.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Klingensmith was married Jan. 16, 1936 to Grace V. Shingledecker, who died in May 1989.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Klingensmith was preceded in death by six sisters, Florence Klingensmith, Etta Klingensmith, Mae Klingensmith, Ruth Byers, Vida Corte and Mary Lerch.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. John Conover, pastor of the Springside Baptist Church, New Bethlehem, officiating.
Interment will be in Churchvill Cemetery, Monroe Township, Clarion County.
