MRS. GERHARD KUCK DIED FIRST OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Gerhard Kuck, wife of a respected and popular farmer living a short distance
north of Weimar, died Monday and the remains were laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Paul Piepenbrok, local Lutheran pastor, officiating. Quite a large crowd of relatives and friends was present at the funeral.
Mrs. Anna Kuck, wife of Gerhard Kuck, was born May 28, 1847, in Westerstede, Province of Oldenberg, Germany. She was married in Germany in 1875. The couple emigrated to this country in 1880. Five children were born to this union, three of whom are still living, as follows: Miss Lena Kuck, Messrs, Will and Henry Kuck. Other survivors are one brother, Mr. Friedrich Gunderlach of Columbus, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kuck had been in ill health for a number of years--in fact was bedridden the past five years. She was 81 years of age at the time of her death. She ever proved a good wife, mother, neighbor and friend, and her death is sincerely deplored Besides her husband she leaves several children, all grown and settled in live.
