FINAL RITES FOR HENRY KUCK, 86, HELD WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held at Hubbard Funeral Home here Wednesday afternoon, June 30, for Henry Kuck, 86, who died Monday afternoon at Colonial Rest Home, Schulenburg.

Rev. F.H. Horak, officiated. Burial was in the Masonic Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mr. Knuck had been in the rest home only two weeks. Until then he had lived for 84 years on the Kuck homestead a short didtance north of Weimar, cared for by his nephew, Bill Kuck.

Born Feb. 18, 1879, in Oldenburg, Germany, he was brought to this county by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Kuck, when he was 2 years old. They landed in Galveston and settled in Weimar. Mr. Kuck was never married. Although his farm is no more than a mile from Weimar, he had not been in Weimar since 1919. He was content to stay in his house and yard. A brother, Wm. Kuck, died several years ago.

His only survivors are two nephews, Bill Kuck here and Herbert Kuck of Dallas; and two nieces, Mrs. D.E. (Clara) Basden of Amarillo and Mrs. K.E. (Lillie) Williams of Tahoka, Texas.
