She married Ole "Chris" Olson in January 1905 at Towner. They homesteaded in Prescott Township near Glenburn and raised seven children; Olga, Mabel, Henry, Ray, Milton, Clarice and Carmen. Three children died as infants; Gladys and twins, Clarence and Cora. Clara continued to live on the farm following her husband's death in May, 1946. She moved to Minot in 1955. Her son, Carmen Olson continued to farm the land.
