Fethkenher, was born on March
12, 1897 in Varina.
In 1962 he was
married to Mary Childress of
Storm Lake.
He served in both World War I
and ll, having served the second
period with his four sons at the
same time, he was at that time a
grandfather.
Mr. Fethkenher had been an
employee of the City of Storm
Lake for many years prior to his
retirement.
He was very proud of his
children. Interested in sports,
hunting and fishing, he participated
with his sons in these as
long as he was able and later
being a very interested observer.
He leaves to mourn his passing
his widow, Mary; four sons,
Norman of Storm Lake; Walter
of Sac City; Roland of St. Paul,
Minn., and Duane of Dallas.
Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Alta
Nitchie of Valparaiso, Ind.; stepdaughter,
Mrs. Irene Gossem of
Chandler, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs.
Florence Stark of Storm Lake
and Mrs. Beatrice Klever of
Audubon; 13 grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren and many
friends.
