Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Bruce Grooms, Randleman, Rt. 2, Mrs. Jessie V. Kirkman and Mrs. Manley Vestal, both of Asheboro and Mrs. Morgan Baxley, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; three sons, Giles M. Overman, Asheboro, John W. Overman of High Point and Casper Overman in U.S. Army Air Force, Germany, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three brothers, W.E. Ball, J.E. Ball of Lexington, Rt.1, and Z.A. Ball of Clint Hill.
Furneral services to be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in the chapel at the Farlowe Funeral home in Asheboro. Interment in the old city cemetery at Asheboro.
