Mrs. Emma Overman, 69, wife of John H. Overman, died at her home, here in High Point last night. Born in Randolph County, a daughter of the late George and Hannah Robbins Ball.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Bruce Grooms, Randleman, Rt. 2, Mrs. Jessie V. Kirkman and Mrs. Manley Vestal, both of Asheboro and Mrs. Morgan Baxley, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; three sons, Giles M. Overman, Asheboro, John W. Overman of High Point and Casper Overman in U.S. Army Air Force, Germany, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three brothers, W.E. Ball, J.E. Ball of Lexington, Rt.1, and Z.A. Ball of Clint Hill.
Furneral services to be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in the chapel at the Farlowe Funeral home in Asheboro. Interment in the old city cemetery at Asheboro.
