ASHEBORO--John Henry Overman, 90, of Asheboro, died Wednesday in Randolph Hospital. He was a native of Chatham County and was one of the early managers of Asheboro Coco-Cola Bottling Company.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. May Kirkman and Mrs. Ethel Grooms, both of Asheboro, and Mrs. Iola Baxley of Miami, Florida; two sons, John W. Overman of High Point and Casper H. Overman of College Park, Maryland; and a sister, Mrs. Carl Maness of Asheboro.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Friday at Ridge-McDowell Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Leslie Winslow and Rev. Lloyd Pugh. Burial will be in Old City Cemetery, Asheboro.
