Marie Louise (Mary Lou) Jacobson, 72, of Eveleth, formerly of Gilbert, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at St. Raphael's Health and Rehabilitation Center, Eveleth. She was born Nov. 30, 1940, in Eveleth to Louis J and Frances A Indihar.
Mary Lou resided in Gilbert, graduated from Gilbert High School in 1958, and attended college at Mesabi Community College, Virginia. Mary Lou was united in marriage to Gary Kenneth Jacobson Oct. 24, 1959, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert. The couple resided in Gilbert, where they raised their family. Mary Lou was a joyful person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Kenneth Jacobson; children: Scott (Patty) Jacobson, Kris (Cliff) Smith, and Amy (Mark) Sorenson; grandchildren: Christa Dormanen, Kenny Jacobson, Paul (Jennifer) Jacobson, Shannon (Dan) Mackey, Lauren Schams, Alyssa Sorenson and Nicole Sorenson; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frances A. Indihar (1941) and Louis J. Indihar (1985).
Burial was in Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert.
