Mr.Reginald "Reggie" Keither Blevins, Jr. age 68 of Critz, Virginia passed away at his home on Saturday morning. He was born in Richlands, VA on November 15, 1944 to the late Roy Keither Blevins and Pauline " Peachy" Lockhart Blevins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Blevins was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney "Chip" Blevins. Reggie was a 1963 graduate of Tazwell High School and received his degree in education form Aurora University in Chicago, IL. He served his country as a proud Marine during the Vietnam War. Reggie retired from Stuart Elementary School after 30 years in education during which he had served as head basketball coach at Richlands and was dedicated to his students. He was a life long Cubs fan who loved hunting, fishing, antiquing and music. Reggie above all was a devoted and loving; husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend.

Mr. Blevins is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Margaret Looney Blevins of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Jennings Blevins of Surf City, NC; a son, Reginald "Keith" Keither Belvins, III of Patrick Springs,VA , a step-son, Jason Matthew Pruett & wife, Tara of Ridgeway, VA; two step-daughters, Brittany Paige Morrison & husband, Adam of Stokesdale, NC and Bethany Pruett of Critz, VA; three grandchildren: Colby Keithon Blevins, Kylei Paige Blevins and Michael Gage Blevins; three sisters, Marrietta Helmandollar of Tazwell, VA, Marcella Blevins, Claudville and Debbie Crigger & husband, Don of Tazwell, VA; a brother, Michael Blevins & wife, Lisa of Dobson, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Blevins will be held on Monday September 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bucky Hunsicker officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Stuart Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
