Keither Blevins was employed as a coal miner, fire boss. He touched many hearts through his life-long ministry. He was married to "Peachy" Blevins on December 13, 1941. They had five biological children: Marietta, Reggie, Chipper, Marcella, and Debbie. They also adopted their grandson, Michael Blevins, from Chipper. His parents were Eli "Jack" and Ada Ferrell Blevins. He has two siblings: Zenith Blevins and Dolly Samuels.

Keither Blevins wrote in a diary, everyday, from the early 1930s up to his death in 1995. These diaries include his everyday life in southern WV and southwest Virginia. For brief period, he lived in Florida in the 1980s.
