The funeral service was held at the Christian Church at 10 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. W. H. Underwood officiating in the absence of Rev. L. H. Camp from the city.
Maude was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis M. Monroe, born in this county May 1st, 1881. She was married to George Eliassen June 10th, 1899, by Rev. E. M. Fletcher, now residing at the Crowell Home, in the house where the family now lives. George's mother lived there at the time. Nine children were born to them, eight of whom are now living, George 20, of Council Bluffs, Ia., Charles 15, Frances 9, James 7, Etta, Mrs. Wm. Reese 23, Dorothy 13, Mathilda 11, Bessie 4. There are three grandchildren, daughters of Mrs. Reese, Marie, Marion and Margaret. She is survived by three brothers, Ralph Monroe, of Wessington Springs, S.D., James Monroe, of Wakefield, and Robert of Omaha, and three sisters, Hattie Rupp, of Omaha, Malinda Bloom, of Oxford, Nebr., Rose Compton, of Oganogan, Wash.
She was a member of the Christian Church at Wakefield, Nebr. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of their many friends.
