Dwight James Wilson, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, died March 10, 2005, in Riverdale, Ga. at the age of 81, after complications following open-heart surgery. He was a patient in two different hospitals for sixty-two days.

Dwight was born May 7, 1923 in Lucas County, Iowa to Warren and Pearl Wilson. He married Geneva Emeline McDonald on Jan. 17, 1946 in Troy, Kansas. Dwight was a self-employed carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed wood carving and many of us have precious memories to cherish always in our homes that he carved or made out of wood.

Dwight served in the U.S. Army from February, 1943 to January, 1946 during World War II and was a member of the 414th Engineering Unit.

In 1984, Dwight retired and they moved to Mountain Home, Ark., where he was a member of the Twin Lakes Church of the Nazarene. They lived in Mountain Home until 2003. After leaving Mountain Home, they moved to Locust Grove, Ga., living the next 1 and one half years with Warren and Shirley.

While living in Locust Grove, Dwight was a member of the Jackson Church of the Nazarene in Jackson, Ga. Dwight and Geneva were married for 59 years and have two daughters and two sons.
