MARGARET E. CAYLOR

Margaret Elizabeth Caylor was born December 1, 1918 in Chariton, Iowa to Warren and Pearl (Hickle) Wilson. She passed from this life Friday, November 29, 2008 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia, Iowa at the age of 89 years.

Margaret spent most of her growing up years in the Chariton area. She attended the local schools and graduated from Chariton High School.

In 1936, Margaret was united in marriage to the love of her life, Clell Taylor. To this union three blessings were born, Donna, Dean and Jolynn. In 1963, Margaret and Clell moved the family to San Diego, California. In 1969, they decided to move back to the Chariton area.

Margaret worked as a seamstress and was very talented in that area. She was also an excellent cook. Margaret enjoyed gardening and spending time with her beloved husband, Clell. Her other interests included reading, making crafts, and shopping out of the magazines that came in the mail. In her later years she spent time working puzzle books. She always enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Pearl Wilson; her husband, Clell Caylor; her brothers, Walter, Lindsey, Dwight and Lloyd Wilson; her sisters, Merle Thompson, Hazel Smith, Dorothy Halloway and Lela Andrews.

She is survived by her children, Donna Herman of Hamlin, Texas, Dean Caylor of Ramona, Calif., and Jolynn Caylor of Ottumwa; her brother, Glen Wilson of Ark.; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Interment took place in the Chariton Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers were Paul Roberts, Erin Lynville, Rick Wilson, Tyler Dowd, Doyle Mick, Ric Findling and Butch Caylor.
