Mrs. Bassett has 119 survivors
Mrs. Hazel Bassett, 75, of 3016 S. Salina St., died today in the Upstate Medical Center after a long illness. A native of Syracuse, she was a widow of Floyd Bassett.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Robert Winslow, Mrs. Charles Maxam, Mrs. George Lening, Miss Ella Mae Bassett and Mrs. George Hardter; three sons, Harold, Donald and Gerald; two sisters, Mrs. George Kraft of Rochester and Mrs. Walter Casolare of Mattydale; 36 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 Friday at the John G. Butler Funeral Home, the Rev. William Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at the funeral home.
