Mrs. Jennie Bell, Kin of Pioneers, Dies, Rites Today
Services for Mrs. Jennie Bell, widow of Charles K. Bell who died Thursday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Carl J. Ballweg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Bell was a member of a pioneer family, her ancestors having settled in the Syracuse area in 1700. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Seager.
Mrs. Bell is survived in addition to her husband by four sons, Gerald, Charles, Thomas and Herbert Bell of California; four daughters, Mrs. William Grier, Mrs. Harold Baker, both of Syracuse, Mrs. Carl Edmonds and Mrs. Mildred O'Kane of California; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Bassett, Mrs. Walter Casolare and Mrs. George Kraft of Rochester; an aunt, Mrs. Ella Ruston of LaFayette; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
