Frederick Seager, Army Veteran, dies
Frederick Seager, 68, a descendant of Albion Jackson, first male white child born in Syracuse, died Sunday in the Veterans Hospital at Bath. A native Syracusan, he had lived here many years.
A veteran of 19 years' service in the armed forces, Mr. Seager saw overseas duty in France and was with the military on duty with the San Francisco earthquake. He was a member of Salt City Post 348 of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are a son, Robert Seager, and four sisters, Mrs. George Kraft, Mrs. Walter Casolare, Mrs. Charles Bell and Mrs. Floyd Bassett. Rites will be conducted at 1 p. m. tomorrow in the chapel of the Veterans Hospital, Bath. Salt City Post will conduct military services at the grave. Burial will be in Bath.
