Funeral Held Yesterday
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Gravel Stich Methodist Church by Rev. B.W. Hardin of Bradfordsville for Mrs. Sarah (sic Hattie) Jane Berry, wife of Edgar Berry. Interment was in the Roller Cemetery near Gravel Switch.
Mrs. Berry died at 2:00 Wednesday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Len Roller of Gravel Switch, of peritonitis. Early in February she was brought to the Baute Infirmary in this city suffering from a ruptured appendix. Following an operation and a blood transfusion she seemed to improve and two weeks ago she was taken to the home of her sister.
Mrs. Berry was 24 years old and was a daughter of James and Cynthia Holt Carrico of Gravel Switch. She was born and spent all of her life in the section where she died. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by three children, three sisters, Mrs. Len Roller, Mrs. Frank Orberson and Miss Essie Carrico, all of Gravel Switch, and three brothers, George Carrico of Danville and Levi and Bob Carrico of Gravel Switch.
