Beloved husband of Sophia(Rau-Berner)

.Dearest father of Ernest, Walter Louis, William Isaac and first daughter Mary Elizabeth(Rose).

Son of William Stacey and Samantha (Moon)Leonard.William Stacy Leonard was born in Seneca county New York,Samatha Moon also of New York.
Only know living son of same.
Born in Osseo Mi,helped run the family farm and blacksmith shop until he moved here to Gratiot County circa 1893.

His first wife died due to complications of child birth.
His second wife died due to comlications of child birth.

Both wives are buried in Maple Grove Cemetary Hillsdale Mi.
Upon the death of his father William S.,Willard brought his mother Samantha to St.Louis, and a sister Ina Milligan to live with his family.
In the 1900 census he also has sister-in-law Elizabeth Mcnally of Columbus Ohio living with them.
About the age of 40 he was totally deaf.
Willard was a farmer,repair man and later in life the night watchman for the Pioneer Sugar Factory in downtown St.Louis.He had several good neighbors one which was known as Mrs. Moody.
The family homestead was located at 221 Euclid Ave near some train tracks.
