Mrs. Annie Roberts

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Annie Allen Roberts, age 89, of Vernal, passed away May 29, at her home.

She was born May 20, 1920 in Maeser, to Orin Daniel Allen Jr. and Eleanor Merkley Allen.

She married her best friend John Ray Roberts, May 14 in Salt Lake City. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple on March 18, 1986. Ray preceded her in death on August 19, 1982.

Annie devoted her life to her children; they were the jewels in her crown. She loved working in her yard and her garden.She loved working in the Vernal Temple, where she worked since it opened. She loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in their sports and activities. She was a huge Jazz and BYU fan.

She is survived by her children; Leon (Judy) Roberts of Mesa, Garr (Joyce) Roberts of Grand Junction,Joanne (Phil) of Vernal, Carla (Mike) White of Vernal; 12 grandchildren; and 22.5 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Borger of Salt Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Lawrence Allen, Leonard Allen, Karl Allen; sisters; Phoebe Williams, Audrey Hall and Edith Bodily.

At last she is reunited with her best friend and loving husband. We will miss your smile and you will always be in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., June 3, at the Ashley Stake Center. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
