Elizabeth Amanda HINELY was born between 1831 and 1837 in Effingham County to
Solomon HINELY Sr. (who died in 1846 - he was the son of John HEINLE Jr. & his wife, Mary Barbara) & his second wife,
• Hannah Elizabeth ARNSDORFF (born about 1805, married 1825, died after 1850 - she was the daughter of John George ARNSDORFF & Hannah Elizabeth SHEAROUSE).
This Salzburger family were members of Jerusalem Lutheran Church at Ebenezer, Effingham County, Georgia.
Elizabeth was the sister of Solomon HINDLEY Jr. (1825-1878), who settled in Savannah, and is also buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery.

In 1852 in Effingham County, she became the first wife of
• Henry H. PEVY Sr. C.S.A. from Screven County (son of Guilford PEAVY & Dicey MOORE); she was the mother of the first eight of his nine children. In 1854 in Effingham County, her younger sister, Frances HINELY PEVEY ABBOTT, became the wife of Henry's brother, James PEVY C.S.A., who died in the Civil War.

David A. PEVEY born (1858-1922) (m 1878 m Rodney Elizabeth EVANS 1859-1928), buried in Oliver, Screven Co GA
Mary E. PEVEY (1862-1952) (m 1881 m John Thomas CULBREATH 1857-1932 from North Carolina, family settled in Florida)
• Robert PEVEY born circa 1865
Henry Howell PEVY Jr. (1867-1943) (m about 1889 m Missouri KENT born about 1872) who settled in Berrien Co GA
Wilhelmina PEVY born and died 1870 Chatham Co GA

Elizabeth and her one-month-old daughter died in 1870 while the family was living in Savannah. Her widower returned to Effingham County, remarried and had one more child, Walter PEVEY (born about 1876), who may have been a minister who settled in Florida.
