This old colonial family cemetery is located near mile marker 80 on I-85, near Aldi Distribution Center. Part of a parcel of land which was originally deeded to Peter Smith/Schmidt in the 1750's, the ancient graveyard is said to hold the remains of as many as 75 members of the Schmidt/Smith family. Only a few grave stones are still readable today.
