I have lived in Massachusetts all of my life. Through family history research, I have found some amazing ties to some of the first settlers of Hadley, Northampton, Deerfield, Charlemont and Hatfield on my father's side of the family (ancestor names include Allis, Hawks, and King, Strong). On my mothers side, there are many connections to the Groton/Avery clan -- her father was a Learned and mother an Avery.

Through my research, I've found 7 Patriot ancestors so far and have traced many of my family lines back 10 or more generations. I often visit local cemeteries in MA, NY and CT to find and document gravestone information for my files.
