I am a retired teacher who has been doing genealogy since 1970 and has been involved in DNA testing for genealogy since 2005. I am a Speaker and Regional Coordinator for the International Society of Genetic Genealogists (ISOGG), a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the Genealogical Council of Oregon (GC))as well as the Genealogical Forum of Oregon (GF0).

Since 2005 I have given presentatoins on how DNA helps genealogy throughout the U.S. to a variety of groups including Jewish Genealogical Societies, African American groups, a Mexican genealogical society, The Irish Cultural Society, a Welsh gathering, and various lineage groups as well as at the Who Do You Think You Are conferences in London and Birmingham and Back To Our Past in Dublin. Recently I spoke in Frankfurt, Germany. I have been interviewed for various newspapers, television, and blog talk radio shows. Besides my blogs, my writing has appeared in Irish Roots Magazine (Dublin Ireland) and in multiple articles for my genealogical society’s publication. My book Genetic Genealogy: The Basics and Beyond was published in 2014. I manage eleven DNA projects and a DNA Interest Group at her local society besides the Ogan One Name Study with the Guild of One Name Studies based in England.

However, I am VERY new to being involved in Find-a-grave and look forward to doing more when I can fit it on my plate.

I welcome emails regarding any of the above. I hope to connect with any cousins, as well.

Some of my surnames are: Canterbury, Derby, Doolin, Lamson, Ogan, Simpson, Stubblefield, Studyvin, and many, many more.

Please visit my links below my name.

If you do not hear from me in a timely manner, just write again...I was buried in email. LOL
