I inherited my love of genealogy from my grandmother, Maxine Kortge Fulton. She did her research the hard way... letters, phone calls, and getting in the car and driving to where they wanted answers from! I know she would be so envious of how much easier it is now for us to find the information we are looking for. She would be so excited to see how far back I've gotten in our family tree as well! I have always loved learning about our family and feel very fortunate to have inherited that love and interest. I guess part of it hails from my love of antiques and old things... and appreciation for what our ancestors had to endure before us... Our family history is well documented in several lines and not as much in others. I have been lucky over the years (I started young... in my teens...) to find relatives who have been very generous with sharing pictures, stories, and even giving me diaries and items that belonged to my ancestors... Those are days I have to pinch myself! ;-) I have enjoyed sharing our family tree with my entire extended family... I have an extensive library of photos of many of the families below and am always happy to share pictures. Please just give me time to respond! I'm a busy working mom of three who also cares for my dad who has brain cancer now. My dad has truly enjoyed learning his heritage and we've enjoyed a few trips "searching" for for family cemeteries/graves! My mom and I are now preparing to find some time to do some visits on her side of the family. Note: All records that I manage/maintain are direct lines to me or very closely related. The original submissions of some of these memorials are intact and I offer my sincere thanks and appreciation to those that have taken the time to photograph and record so many of these memorials and those that have transferred management to me, as a direct family member. Family names that I actively research and will not transfer records for: My side: Elston, Fattig, Yeackel, Morton, Helwig, Gilmore, Green/e, Bradstreet, Dudley, Kortge, Coffey, Weber, Black, MosierFulton, Curtiss, Fairchild, Fenton, Gard, Bishop, Goble,My husband's side: Barrett, Burke, Culhane, Voltin, Sherman, Cunning, Poage, Stickleman, Mothershed, Harrington.
