As a young girl I was curious about my Father's mother, who died 13 years before I was born. I asked questions about her, received some answers, but never enough. I started writing about her, bit-by-bit, and called it "The Grandmother I Never Knew" When I retired from private music teaching, after 55 years, suddenly I realized I would have time to do some genealogy. Thus, in 1998, I began to learn to use the computer and also to research my ancestors. It was truly exciting....gathering information, recording it and fitting the family puzzle pieces together. Such a rewarding and satisfying "hobby". Now I want to add pictures and give some personality to these courageous people whom I call "my early family." Also to do a community service for others looking for another source of information on their families.
I was born in Spokane, Washington, in 1932, 2nd child of loving parents, who told me about their growing up years. Now that they are gone, I have great memories, and many wonderful pictures. My Dad was an ameture photographer who took pictures of us and many others "at the drop of a hat."
I'm a graduate in music of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles (BIOLA) in 1953, now a retired church organist and pianist. My husband and I are dedicated Christians, who love the Lord and want to serve Him for as long as He leaves us on this earth. We have three wonderful sons and 5 delightful grandchildren. "Thanks be to God, the author and finisher of our faith." Hebrews 12:2.
