DELPHI - Mrs. Mable M. (Widner) Fife, 70, of Lafayette, died at 6:00 PM Saturday, Nov. 18, 1961, at the Scott Nursing Home, after an extended illness. Born at Monon Oct. 14, 1891, she was the daughter of William and Nettie Thompson Widner. Her marriage on Feb. 27, 1910, was to Lorren Fife. A life resident of Carroll and Tippecanoe counties, she was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving with the husband are six sons, John Fife of Logansport, Robert Fife of Jonesboro, AR; Elmer Fife of Michigan City, Harold Fife of St. Louis, MO; Herbert Fife of Buck Creek, and William Fife of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Going of Louisville, KY; and Mrs. Ruth Jones of Lafayette; 21 grandchildren, 16 great-children, four sisters, and two brothers. Services Nov. 21 at the Jackson Funeral Home, the Rev. Baden Rowe officiating; burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in Lafayette.
