Jazz musician (Trumpet) and bandleader. He was born Lee Aniello Castaldo and learned to play trumpet at age 15. Originally he performed under his given name beginning in the 1930s but changing his name to Lee Castle in 1942. He played for several big bands, including his own band, but also played for Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey's band. After both of the brother's deaths, Lee took over as the band's leader.
