LAYTON -- Hyrum William (Bill) Talbot, age 74, of West Layton, returned home to his Heavenly Father on February 14, 2000.

He was born in West Layton, June 5, 1925 to Hyrum Gilbert (Bert) and Telitha Jane Simmons Talbot. He married Marie Brough on September 24, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a life time member of the Layton Second Ward where he served in many capacities.He is survived by his wife, Marie; and their three daughters: Sherry (Lynn) Dangel, Layton; Connie (David) Johnson, Twin Falls, Idaho; and Kathryn (Dennis) Huff also of Layton; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie (Charles) Moultrie of Clearfield; Belva (Thomas) Schofield, Clearfield; one brother, Van DuWayne Talbot of Layton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Ilene (Thorley) Taylor of Layton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2000, at the Layton Second Ward Chapel, 2200 West Gentile. Friends and family may call at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the Chapel from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Kaysville City Cemetery.
