Belva Ann Talbot Schofield, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 16, 2018 surrounded by her family. She lived a long and happy life.

She was born January 31, 1928 in Layton, UT to Hyrum Gilbert Talbot and Telitha Simmons Talbot. She was the fourth of five children. She lived in Clearfield and Layton all her life and attended Davis County Schools.

Belva married Glen Thomas Schofield on November 28, 1944 in Ogden, UT. Their vows were solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 14, 1951.

She was employed at the Ogden Arsenal and the Naval Supply Depot. She retired from Hill Air Force Base.

A member of the Clearfield LDS 3rd Ward, she held various positions in her church which included serving an LDS mission alongside her sweetheart in the extraction program at the LDS Ogden Tabernacle.

Belva enjoyed taking rides, playing solitaire, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Danny (Judy) Schofield, Ogden; Rocky (Jana) Schofield, Syracuse; Tammy (Mike) Moss, Clinton; Teresa (Jeff) Toone, Marriott-Slaterville; Sarah Fleming, Pine Valley; Dodie (Jim) Smedley, Surprise; 30 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Belva was preceded in death by her husband on April 15, 2012; her parents and siblings.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Clearfield 3rd Ward Building, 350 Vine Street. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 State St.

The family would like to thank Hospice and all others for their kindness and love they have shown to Mom. They also extend a special thanks to Danny.

We love you Mom and will miss you. Until we meet again.
