Mrs. Hiram J. Bullis answered the final summons last Saturday afternoon, December 7, at her home in north Princeton. Influenza was the rae of death.
Mrs. Bullis, whose maiden name was Bertha Naomi Black, was born at Big Lake, Minn., Jan. 22, 1883. She came to Princeton about 18 years ago with her parents and was married on April 26, 1911, to Hiram J. Bullis.
She is survied by her husband, four children, Perry, Evaline, Lutie and Andy, and stepdaughter, Beth her mother, Mrs. John Black 6 brothers and one sister Albert, John and Cleve of Princeton, Robert of Wright, William of Indiana, Henry of Illinois, and Mrs. Will Godbout of Princeton.
Funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at the family home. Rev. Milne conducted the ceremony and delivered a sermon in which'tie paid tribute to the deceased and gave words of comfort to the relatives. A quartet composed of Marie Winsor, Mrs. Ed. Nelson, Grover Umbehocker *nd Lemuel Briggs sang two beautiful selections. Interment was in Oak cemetery.
Mr. Bullis takes this means of extending his heartfelt thanks to all who rendered assistance to him during the illness and at the obsequies of his be loved wife. To one and all he desires to express his appreciation. (The Princeton union., December 12, 1918, p1)
