She graduated from Frankfort High School.She was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church.On June 7, 1926, she married Otis Shope. He died Jan. 12, 1984.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Hesse Taylor, and a granddaughter, Sharon Kay Shope, in 1963.
Survivors include three sons, David J. Shope, Trentwood, Ohio, Otis Shope Jr., Frankfort, and Robert Shope, Bismarck, N.D.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
